Ps 11 3 When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do ?"when the moral law was announced to Moses ie the Ten Commandments they represent not established rules to live by. In fact the punishment of death to law breakers offered man no hope of making amends for the violations. The law not only required active obedience but passive as well. The standard is so high that the violation demanded death to pettiest departure. So the law is repeatedly demanding obedience. As the law is always active so the eternal curse is under no historical circumstances at rest. This is why we reasonably believe all men in themselves are unable to abide by the law that properly translates into a decent society. The bible constantly teaches Rulers are under the comprehensive examination and found in violation of the law. The overwhelming pressure of Gods dreadful curses are from the top down. In the NT the Apostle gives instruction to the local citizens and the civil rulers. But all institutions stipulations to abide by the law are part of the thorough history of Gods redemption. We must consistently implement the fundamental doctrines of the faith that man is an evildoer. He cannot be suitable as a citizen unless he willingly complies with the specific demands under the possible threat of death. To act willingly granting to the law, he must die to himself. This is why there is no hope of redeeming civil society without first facing the curse. |
