Psa 143:12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant."
In the world a person who is the traitor or the person who has just committed the same sin over and over deserves to be punished. But in the Christian context this man is still worthy or must be the most worthy to speak the axioms.
Why does God reward the man who is the most undeserving? Because if any person has committed the smallest offense or has failed to meet the demands of the law by not measuring up then he deserves to be cursed in the same way that the scoundrel deserves. So we are always weak scoundrels arguing that the better man deserves to be cursed. If we do not feel undeserving and guilty for being worse than the other person then we are to confident in our worthiness
This is why we are double minded. We have not understood that Christ is exalted by our sinfulness. So we learn in being loyal as His undeserving servant to stop measuring our sin and see that we must cast ourselves on His death because we are sinners who live in a world that wants to be deserving of God's rewards. We learn through the curse that we are scoundrels arguing for His grace by being the traitor.
