Psa 1431 O LORD, hear my prayer, hear to my cry for mercy; in your fastness and righteousness come to my relief."The crucial question is can we duly separate the moral law of God with the covenant pledges? The Godly law in the Old Testament was constantly a covenant- law. Why remain the law and the eternal covenant connected? Because God was subjugating Himself on notice that He alone would fulfill the conditions of the law to show Himself faithful in His covenant pledges. Christ really was the covenant keeper. The Psalmist uses the covenant promises in effective defense of Israel. In this classic case he appeals forcefully to God in the humorless solicitation according to God's fastness and eternal righteousness. Presently this covenant is eternal. Thus, the Psalmist always desires God for the ample evidence of His covenant pledge to be seen in Israel on the exemplary work of the Mediator on behalf of Israel. The Covenant law giver reliably produced the ideal world and promises to govern justly His creation by sufficiently guarding His covenant people. The Psalmist submissively desires the area on earth in intensively opposing the nations by pronouncing the godly law that curses the wicked. The eternal curses that instantly remove all opposition, the eternal decrees that satisfactorily establish God's kingdom on created earth the enabling statutes that duly establish Israel as a advanced nation of laws, and the sacred pledges that are extraordinary gifts of God in ruling the world. Psa 14312 In your unerring love, silence my adversaries; destroy all my foes, for I'm your servant."
