Psa 101:1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise."

The question is Does God hate the wicked? The bible teaches that God cannot look on evil with agreement or pleasure. If God was like man then He would be subject to the control of another person. He would not have the ability to foresee the future. But God has not only decreed everything that we face in life but He also decreed the dangers we face and our reaction to those dangers.

Because God determines the attack of the wicked He does not react to our trouble. God not only decreed our trouble but He decreed the retributition that is necessary in the violation of His law.  God responded to the first sin by cursing the creation.  So when the Psalmist speaks of God's justice it is always according to the perfect line of blessing and cursing. Because God pronounce death on all lawbreakers in the beginning of time the curses in the Psalms are already spoken by God from eternity past as the pronouncement of death to the wicked.

If God has declared that He alone has the right to take vengeance then He alone is justified in pronouncing death on the wicked.  Man is unable to avenge the wicked because we are deceived in not understanding the danger as a result of sin, being able to see the evils of sin in ourselves and having the knowledge of our facing the danger. God's view of the evils that we face in this world is worse than we could imagine. And His protection and care for us is greater than we could ever imagine.

If God created man with the freedom to act according to his desires then man has the potential to destroy the world. God created man with the ability to rule the world. What happens when God's most glorious creature is given a destructive nature? Instead of using his self determination to bring glory to God by building a culture of freedom and beauty man begins to tear society apart and destroy the earth. This is why God must be severe in His vengeance.
