Psa 25:1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul;
Lit To you Oh God of Jacob. Teaches us to use the means of faith but we come in pray because we do not trust in the means. God has created all things by speaking them into existence. This same God is able to unify the entire world by speaking a word. We always understand we are coming to a God who loves to hear His law, covenants ,curses,promises, decrees and statutes. The axioms contain the personalities of all men and our renewal by the pronouncements. God defines our world contains it and recreates it. David is looking up and God is looking down. Pray is a face to face encounter.
Psa 25:2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me
We are born into a world of shame. God cursed everything. The Psalmist needs to be protected by God . Now listen the problem is that we do not naturally act according to our identity. This is why God recreates us instead of a moral confrontation and force. We are looking for God to change us by force. But God teaches us who we are and we begin to act according to that image. We are related to a God who created the world by word to reality. So God does not need anything outside of Himself to recreate us. God does not need trials to recreate us.
Now listen. We must not think that we force God to change us by bringing trouble. God does not need anything outside of Himself. He is perfectly satisfied with Himself. He is perfectly capable to do as He pleases without coercion. So the Psalmist teaches us that we are shielded from the shame of the world by being contained in the axioms. You see the axioms are eternal pronouncements that shield us from the results of the curse.
The axioms are pronouncements the address any thing that opposes us. We simply pronounce our defense. When the Psalmist says that he finds refuge in God it is his use of the pronouncements to adrees the attack of the opposition. You see God does not help us from a mysterious position. God comes to earth through word to reality. Cont.
