Psa 139:5 You hem me in--behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me." The question is What is the one thing we need the most in life ? We need to know that God is in control of our lives. So the Psalmist has experienced the words to power of his body. As he pronounces the axioms he is moved by the power of God. We say the the axioms contain the reality of God's eternal powers in which the Psalmist is contained.

Psa 139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. What is the only frustration in life? That we do not feel that God is near and we are frustrated because He seems to show up and then leave. But the Psalmist is saying that God has been present by His word. The pronouncements command his footsteps. The words are God's thoughts that move his body.

Psa 139:7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? Psa 139:8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there." The axioms are eternal words. The Psalmist has experienced the control over time and space. He is saying that he has experienced the heights of the heavens and the worse places on thus earth. The curses push the lowest places down under his feet.
